Selection
Potential participants who meet the program requirements will have their application evaluated by the Valley Scholars Evaluation Committee. Students must complete all of the application requirements and submit by the application deadline of May 5th to be considered for the Valley Scholars Program, or the application will be discarded. The application packet must include:
- A completed Valley Scholars Application.
- An official high school and college transcript.
- Two letters of recommendation. One recommendation should come from a community or public service leader. Letters should provide a good perspective of academic and leadership abilities. Letters must be sealed.
- A copy of TSI completion test scores or exemption.
- A copy of a current SAR.
Upon approval by the Valley Scholars Evaluation Committee, each participant will receive a scholarship awarded through the STC Financial Aid Office designated for tuition, fees, books, computers, health insurance, general living expenses and other college-related expenses.
