The purpose of the Curriculum & Accreditation Office is to facilitate the develoment of new workforce education by advising Deans and faculty concerning the process. The procedures and guidelines for the development of or revision of curriculum; ensures compliance of all curricula with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).

In addition, the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs ensures that the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding the Curricula is reflected in the South Texas College Catalog Degree Plans and other College publications.
