Tech Prep Requirements
A high school student who successfully completes an articulated course through the Advanced Technical Credit Program is eligible to receive credit at STC when the following criteria are met:
- Meets all STC admission and program entrance requirements. No credit hours will be awarded until a student has satisfied the Texas Higher Education Assessment (THEA) requirements.
- Enrolls in an Associate of Applied Degree Program in STC that includes the equivalent college course(s) within 15 months after graduating from high school.
- Successfully completes a minimum of six hours at STC.
- Completes the high school course or last course in an ATC - required sequence in grade 11 or 12.
- Completes the high school course(s) and required prerequisites with a grade of 80 (B) or better.
