Selection Process

Priority Deadline: March 31, 2022

Applicants who meet the program requirements will have their application evaluated by the Valley Scholars Evaluation Committee. The selection process focuses on leadership qualities, community involvement and traits which demonstrate potential for academic and career success. After the priority deadline and upon approval by the committee, each participant will receive a letter of acceptance with information regarding the Valley Scholars Orientation.

The documents that are reviewed by the Valley Scholars Evaluation Committee include:

  • Completed Valley Scholars Program Application
  • Unofficial high school transcript and if applicable, unofficial college transcript
  • Copy of TSI completion test scores or TSI exemption

Upon approval by the Valley Scholars Evaluation Committee, each participant will receive a scholarship awarded through the STC Financial Aid Office designated for tuition, fees, books, computers, health insurance, general living expenses and other college-related expenses.
